Probably one of the most enjoyable topic so far. Even though I found out that I do not know my hand as I though I did. Definitely not as the “back of my hand.”

This time I´m going to post those two topics together.
Buildings. A well chosen topic. For me a very different experience to draw. I picked up ruler and a hard pencil, trying to keep all rules of perspective of the geometry so that it all makes sense. This result (below) was made bit by bit, each of the drawing moments were almost meditative, as I had to concentrate - quite a bit.

Before I started to include “colours” as different shades of black, I was hesitating whether to do it or not. Whether it wasn´t better to keep it as the plain geometry.
Again - at the first sight not so over-complicated topic, in the real world though.. a very different story about “easyness”. Nevertheless, I found it again very enjoyable and certainly learnt a lot by doing it. I´ve never painted birds with such an effort before and I certainly feel like I missed a lot. In the next row I might venture for colours, which would give the topic again a very different dimension.

My expression of an endless admiration for flamencos. Whoever invented them was a genious.
Thanks to Pontenigra´s great idea to set up a habit of painting practises, this blog is going to be the documentation of my ´journey´ - through various topics and challenges, which will change each week.
Without a concise introduction, here are the first two for the start. Cups and dress design. Cups were a good beginning, especially if you imagine a hot tea inside, good reward for the job :) However, I realized how far out I am at colour-painting, therefore I sticked with the pencil drawing. Watercoulour are way out of control in my hands. For the time being, I would like to beleive.

Dress design was a good example of a challenge to me, I´ve never even tried to think about drawing anything similar, yet, in the end, I found it very pleasant, I discovered a big potential for imagination and that is what one needs to enjoy the ´process of creation´ in the first place.
